Point of Sale
Are you a retail store owner or manager? Would you like to support the Valley Zoo Development Society (VZDS) and the Edmonton Valley Zoo?
The VZDS has recently started an exciting point of sale fundraising program. This program will enable your business to assist the VZDS by giving your customers the opportunity to donate $2, $5 or $10 dollars at the cash register when paying for purchases. Upon donation, customers are invited to write their name on a cut-out that would then be displayed in your store.
Our displays are silhouettes of a Red Panda ($2), a Tiger ($5) and an Asian Elephant ($10).
Aside from benefits associated with generating public support for this cherished Edmonton facility, the VZDS is prepared to offer you the following incentives to assist in building excitement within your organization for this campaign.
For each category of company (veterinarians, pet Stores, restaurants, merchandise, etc.) we are offering 3 levels of rewards.
For Level 1, the organization with the highest sales of any one silhouette (redpanda, tiger or elephant) would receive a corresponding Adopt An Animal Package to display at their place of business. The Adopt an Animal Program lists our Adoptive Parents and Organizations at the Zoo, on the VZDS website and includes invitation to our Parent Appreciation Night held annually at the Zoo.
For Level 2, the organization that raises the most funds in total within each category would be the recipient of a framed Lucy Print to proudly display at their place of business.
For Level 3, the organization that raises the most funds overall amongst all categories would be able to choose from one of the following three rewards:
- Day Passes to the Valley Zoo to distribute to all of their staff
- A designated day free day at the Zoo for all of the staff
- Or, an office party for the staff of that location at the Zoo with either a breakfast or afternoon barbeque put on by the VZDS Board.
All participating companies will also receive recognition on this webpage.
